🚫🚫 Virginia Homeschoolers Alert:

Legislative session is kicking off in Richmond this week and Virginia is heading into a short, intense session — and the situation for homeschool families has changed dramatically in the past 12 months.

With Democrats now holding a 64–36 majority in the House, politicians have both the numbers and the momentum to move bills quickly.

We have already seen what this looks like. Last session, SB-1031 was introduced to regulate homeschooling and eliminate Virginia’s religious exemption, which has protected families for decades!

That bill did not pass, but it was a clear signal that homeschooling is firmly on the radar in Richmond, and if we don’t defend it this session, we may not have anything left to defend next year.

This session will not be slow or cautious. Nobody is waiting around to have a “reasonable debate” — Virginia’s legislative calendar is short compared to most states, and leadership will try to push bills early, before families have time to react.

The good news is that the Senate is still narrowly divided at 21–19, which gives us a real opportunity to stop bad legislation — but only if we act now and keep the pressure on!

That is why I am asking you to take action immediately, Emily. Sending your pre-written email opposing any new regulation of homeschooling matters, especially at the start of session.

Even if your legislator was recently replaced, your message will be forwarded to whoever now holds that office, and it will be counted.

>>>🗳️Vote NO on Any New Regulations of Homeschoolers!<<<

Please, send your email right away. It takes just 30 seconds and goes directly to your state official.

And if you’re able, I’m asking everyone in Virginia to make an emergency donation to HFC today, even if it’s just a few dollars!

For some, $10, $15, or $25 represents a true sacrifice. For others, I know $75, $100 or even $500 is in your giving budget.

Whatever you’re able to give, the time is right now and I wouldn’t be asking if it weren’t absolutely necessary.

For freedom,
