Right now, politicians all across the country are filing bills that regulate homeschooling, put restrictions on homeschool kids and their parents and force their way into your homes and into your kid’s educations.
We all know why. Because the government thinks they’re God and because they’re thirsty for control.
Most families never know these proposals are on the move until they’re halfway through the legislative process.
We do.
It’s the Homeschool Freedom Coalition’s job to track bills, work with pro-homeschooling legislators and mobilize the Homeschool Freedom Army when legislation is introduced that would control our right to educate our kids.
This past month alone, HFC has been fighting all over the country!
📢 In Washington, HFC mobilized thousands of parents to oppose S.B. 6261 — a bill that would have required parents to file a “plan of education” for their six and seven year old children.
For right now, the Homeschool Freedom Army has stalled this bill out in committee, but we’re not letting our foot off the gas. Because we know that Gov. Ferguson and the radicals in Olympia will never stop their quest to erode parental rights.
📢 In Tennessee, we’re actively working to kill FOUR different anti-homeschooling, anti-parental rights bills!
The worst thing about this fight is that these bills were filed by Republicans — in a state with a GOP super-majority.
Instead of passing the BEST homeschooling laws in the country, and making Tennessee a place of refuge for homeschoolers, RINOs are doin the Democrats’ dirty work in attacking homeschoolers.
📢 In Nebraska, we’re fighting far-left Democrat Senator Megan Hunt’s bill, L.B. 1224. This bill, like all the others, force feeds government into home education.
Worse, this bill STOPS parents from removing their kids from government schools if Megan’s “experts” decides there’s a problem at home.
📢 In New Jersey, homeschoolers are facing a bill (S.741/A.1341) that would require ‘Wellness checks’ for homeschool kids. But worse, their radical politicians have filed A. 3394 which require families to register with their local school district, use curriculum aligned with state standards, submit to annual evaluations, and more!
So how does the Homeschool Freedom Coalition respond to all of this?
Mobilization.
One major way we mobilize homeschoolers is through highly targeted digital campaigns! When a bill drops, we move fast.
We run ads directly to homeschooling parents in a given state, explain in plain language what the bill would do, and give them a simple way to contact their legislators insisting they OPPOSE homeschool regulations.

The screenshots above show you part of the story.
Tens of thousands of homeschoolers in these states saw those ads!
Thousands took action — signing petitions, sending pre-written emails, making phone calls!
And believe me, lawmakers notice when their inbox fills up and their phones start melting down.
It’s not about the view count, it’s about coordinated, strategic pressure in key districts — where politicians are vulnerable during the primaries and really don’t want to lose the homeschool vote!
Here’s how the Homeschool Freedom Army can help:
1) Talk about this! Share the links we send you. Post them in your homeschool groups. Forward our emails. Text them to your co-op friends and make sure the moms in your circle know what’s going on.
2) Please make a generous donation to HFC today!
We exist because of the support of our members. While the anti-homeschoolers are using billionaire dollars and government money, we rely on YOU to win big.
When new battles pop up in Iowa and West Virginia — and they are — we have to be ready to respond immediately.
That means research on the bills, messaging, ads, graphics, videos that break down what the bills do, and constant monitoring of what’s happening in each state.
If we’re going to fight in Washington, New Jersey, Tennessee, Nebraska, Iowa, West Virginia, and wherever this spreads next, we need the Homeschool Freedom Army supporting our work and ready to fight for our freedoms!
Thousands of you have already joined the fight.
For freedom,
