Anti-homeschooling politicians in Trenton are pushing MORE legislation to crack down on homeschoolers and we need to fight back!
Take a look at what these bills will do and then take action – send your pre-written email to your Assemblyman and tell him or her to Vote NO on A-3394 and NO on A-1886!
These bills would force:
- Government oversight where none is needed – Forces homeschool families to register and answer to local school districts, as if homeschoolers need to answer to the very people who run our broken Government schools.
- Curriculum control – A-3394 makes you provide curriculum aligned with state standards, which is very clearly the government controlling what we teach our own children.
- Pointless annual reporting – A-1886 forces families to file a notice every single year just to homeschool, solving a problem that does not exist.
- Portfolio and evaluation mandates – A-3394 piles on required portfolios and annual evaluations, adding unnecessary time, stress, and expense for families already doing the work.
- Homeschooler registry – A-1886 creates district records with your child’s name, age, and address, putting homeschool kids on a government list.
This is wrong and the fact that they’re pushing these bills this year tells us that a target has been put on homeschoolers and we have to get loud and fight back!
