A personal message from Emily Fort

Let’s be honest… they don’t really respect us.

The politicians – the ones who claim to be on our side – are happy to see us show up for Homeschool Day at the Capitol.

They smile for the photo ops, pat our kids on the head, and then expect us to disappear for the rest of the year. They want our kids to knock on doors for their campaigns, they want us to show up with a tray of brownies for their fundraisers — but then they want us to go home and leave them alone.

They’ve trained us to be quiet. To be grateful. To trust them. And for too long, we’ve played along — because we thought they were the good guys.

👉🏽 The gun lobby (for and against) is seen as a political fighting force.
👉🏽 The vaccine lobby (for and against) is seen as a political force.
👉🏽 The pharmaceutical industry is seen as a political force.
👉🏽 The teachers unions are seen as a political force.
👉🏽 The Pro-Life lobby is seen as a political force.
👉🏽 The gas and oil industry is seen as a political force.

But not homeschooling.

Why?

Because homeschoolers have been told for decades by the establishment leaders as well as politicians that our job is to supply teenagers to help set up conventions, bring baked goods to the Capitol on Homeschool Day, put their sign in the front yard and that’s it.

If you’re in evangelical circles, they’ve told you that all we can do is pray, and there is no point in rocking the boat.

How many of us have personally had a politician be invited to speak at our Church or event, they shake our hands, they tell us how much they care about educational freedom only to go to the Capitol and then do little to nothing to advance homeschooling?

They feel safe to do that because homeschoolers haven’t been empowered to PUSH back.

But there are MILLIONS of us now — and we have to flip the script.

Homeschoolers have to show up in more ways than one. Because if we don’t, our kids won’t get to make a choice of their own.

Thankfully, this is a new generation of homeschoolers.

We aren’t going to be used during election season and silenced the rest of the year. We understand the stakes, and we’re not afraid to speak up. We’re organized, we’re informed, and we’re not going anywhere.

And here at the Homeschool Freedom Coalition, we’re building something bold. We’re holding legislators accountable – not just once a year, but every single time they come for our rights. No matter who it is.

Politicians are realizing that we’re done being used. We’re a grassroots army and we are the ones raising the next generation of fighters. 🔥

If you believe in what we’re doing – if you want us to teach homeschoolers how to be more effective when dealing with politicians, and how to stand our ground and defend the right to homeschool without government interference – will you chip in a few bucks today?

Even $5 makes a difference when it comes from people who won’t be silenced.

Chip in today! 📢
