All eyes are on Virginia right now.
Homeschoolers there are waiting for the next anti-homeschooling bill to drop and bring with it a cascade of problems.
❌🚨In just the first days of the 2026 legislative session, Virginia’s new hard-left government has filed dozens and dozens of bills targeting freedom, parental authority, the unborn, private property, and taxpayers! ❌🚨
Plus, on day one, the governor signed TEN executive orders — sending a very obvious message: they aren’t waiting around for debate or permission — they’re getting their bills passed asap and they’re making their political opponents pay for killing their bills last year.

For homeschoolers in Virginia, the mood is tense. Everyone knows what is likely coming next.
Their only hope right now is that politicians get distracted by other priorities this session and homeschoolers buy a little time to organize and push back.
But hope is not a strategy.
Last year should have cured us of that. Even with the Big Ed Democrats holding only a razor-thin margin in the legislature and a Republican governor in office, homeschool families were still targeted by politicians in Richmond.
Their nasty bill, S.B 1031, was a huge attack on homeschooling.
That’s the lesson we keep relearning the hard way:
We cannot bank our children’s freedom on the character or courage of individual legislators or our ‘relationships’ with legislators. 📢📢
Legislative majorities flip. “Champions” retire.
And far too often, people get into power often decide it’s easier — or more advantageous — to sell us out.
Homeschool freedom does not survive because we happen to like the people in office this year. It survives when homeschoolers themselves are organized, funded, and capable of applying real political pressure.
That’s why the Homeschool Freedom Coalition exists.
We are not just a ministry.
We are not just a support group for homeschool moms.
We are here to build political power.
💪🏽Power to expose bad bills.
💪🏽Power to punish lawmakers who target homeschool families.
💪🏽Power to step in fast – whether the fight is in Virginia, Illinois, New Jersey, or a state no one is watching yet.
That kind of readiness requires infrastructure. Legal analysis of bills as they’re filed. Rapid-response campaigns, where we put people in direct contact with their legislators. Posting on all kinds of social media giving minute to minute updates when critical legislation is up for a vote. Video updates on the threats against homeschooling AND our wins.
And yes – it requires money. It just does. There’s no way around it and we simply can’t do what we do without our members and supporters help.
The timing has never been more important, we need to put loads of pressure on these politicians and we need to do it now.
If you believe that the era of crossed fingers and a handful of folks having “good relationships” with a few legislators… we need your help today.
Virginia is the warning shot to the rest of the country.
What we do now determines how prepared we are for what comes next.
