Last night, Virginia voted deep blue. Democrats swept every statewide office — even after introducing anti-homeschooling legislation earlier this spring! Their anti-freedom, anti-parent agenda was obvious and still they wiped the floor with Republicans.
Across the country, that same story is playing out. In New Jersey and Pennsylvania, too, the election results show that the political landscape is changing fast — and not toward parental rights and homeschool freedom. ❌❌
Meanwhile, headlines are exploding with “calls for regulation” and “new oversight” — all in the wake of one horrific tragedy in Connecticut. Politicians are seizing the death of little Mimi Torres-García to claim that every homeschool family needs state monitoring.
It’s the same tired playbook: take one evil act, weaponize it, manipulate it and punish millions of faithful parents for the sins of one.
And national outlets aren’t hiding their agenda in the least. They’re saying it out loud; that as homeschooling grows, regulation and oversight must grow too. They see homeschoolers as too free, too independent, and too powerful.
We cannot fight these battles with the old playbook.
The days of simply “proving homeschooling works” are over. The fight ahead is about who owns your child’s education — you or the state.
We need new tactics. We need to organize. Homeschoolers need to be a lot more involved in these primaries — and that takes money. More than anything, we need every homeschool family to understand what’s coming.
That’s why the Homeschool Freedom Coalition exists: to train, equip, and mobilize parents to defend their God-given authority to raise and educate their children.
Homeschoolers must become a fighting force, one that politicians fear in the voting box.🗳️
