What Charlie Kirk’s Death Means for America

I’m speechless.

I don’t know what to say.

Watching the video of Charlie Kirk’s assassination yesterday was just heartbreaking. Nauseating. Hard to watch.

I keep thinking about his poor wife and children — who will never get to grow up with their father there for the big milestones.

If you’re like me, you’ve found the world to be a darker place in the past week. First, the murder of Iryna Zarutska on a public train in NC in front of half a dozen people who did nothing to help her.

Then yesterday, Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

Here’s what I keep thinking: we needed a Turning Point, and for many, it was yesterday.

Conservatives have tried being “nice” for decades. Always looking for compromise. Always hoping for common ground. But the truth is that the other side doesn’t want to compromise.

>>>>> They don’t want compromise; they want control. They are playing for keeps. And anyone who stands in their way – whether it’s Charlie Kirk, a Christian teacher, or an ordinary homeschool mom or dad – is seen as a threat.

Charlie was a threat because he could walk onto a college campus and undo a decade or more of indoctrination in an afternoon, with clarity, courage and his big, friendly grin. That terrified – and eventually angered – the Left.

Homeschooling terrifies and angers them for the very same reason: it’s the one choice parents can make that ends their grip on the minds of the next generation.

But here’s the hope: as mothers and fathers, we do have power.

Every time we gather our children around the table, open God’s Word, and train them to love Truth, to embrace Courage, and reject lies – we’re building resistance.

Every time we choose the tiring ‘daily grind’ of homeschooling our children, we are raising a generation that cannot be brainwashed because they are wise to the lies that the world is peddling.

That’s how we fight back and that’s how we win. By planting seeds of courage and conviction in our children, so that even in a dark world, they will shine as lights that cannot be put out.

But there is more we must do.

Beyond our own family, we need to steel ourselves as a homeschooling community. The battle for control of homeschooling, for more regulations, for more restrictions and oversight….it’s just getting started.

Charlie Kirk was killed because he exposed and mocked their indoctrination.

As millions of kids leave the school system, the same people who hated Charlie will not just sit back and let millions of young minds escape their indoctrination.

The bills are coming. Be ready with us to fight them in legislatures all over the country in the coming legislative sessions.

What they want more than ANYTHING is to silence the voices that would teach our next generation the truth.

So please join me today in praying for the Kirk family and for our Country in general. Pray that strong leaders would rise up and that parents would take back their authority. Pray that we END the indoctrination of our children, like Charlie wanted. Pray. Pray. And then pray some more. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

And then Join HFC. Help us get more kids out of Government schools. Help us carry on the torch because we refuse to be intimidated or silenced.

May God Bless the legacy of Charlie Kirk and may we carry on the good work he was doing to save the minds of our children and grandchildren.
