They told homeschoolers and the media that it was about âsafety” and âaccountability.â
But homeschoolers saw through itâand we shut it down.Â
This spring, politicians in Virginia (SB 1031) and Illinois (HB 2827) tried to slip massive government overreach into lawâ
đ State testing mandates
đ Federal âlearning standardsâ
đ Data collection on homeschoolersâwithout consent
They thought homeschool families wouldnât notice. They thought that with Trump in office, most people would sit back and relax a little.
But they didn’t know what a bunch or mobilized, well-informed homeschool Mamas would think of their plan!
And in reality, they weren’t ready for homeschoolers to collectively stand up and push back against the tide.
We launched digital ads, action campaigns, and got thousands of homeschoolers to flood inboxes and phone lines. The result?
đŁ Both bills died in the legislature! Homeschoolers won that round!
But this was just the beginning.
>> More states are already drafting similar bills.
>>Â The feds are eyeing âvoluntaryâ homeschool standards.
>>Â And theyâre counting on parents to get distracted over the summer break.
We wonât let that happen. It’s our job here at HFC to keep you informed with the facts, so you know what’s fear-mongering and what’s a real threat that we have to step up and do something about!
