Texas Homeschoolers Betrayed

This is very important and we don’t have much time, so I’m going to make it quick.

As you already know, the Texas Legislature is trying to ram through ‘school choice’ via HB3/SB2 – legislation that could forever change homeschooling as we know it. This so-called “school choice” bill, disguised as help for families, is advancing quickly.

SB 2 has cleared the House Public Education Committee and is headed to the full House for a vote any day now.

These bills weren’t pushed by homeschoolers. They didn’t originate from homeschooling. They’re not organic to our movement because they’re the OPPOSITE of what homeschooling has been about for the last 50 years!

What are they about? They’re about controlling homeschoolers.

It’s a scheme to funnel taxpayer money to state-approved curriculum providers and testing companies, while politicians pat themselves on the back for “helping” homeschoolers!

Big organizations the Texas Home School Coalition are pushing profit-driven agendas, while claiming this is a ‘win’ for homeschooling! Of course, that’s a lie. Government strings, testing, state-approved curriculum and etc are the opposite of ‘winning.’ Their compromise a deep betrayal of Texas homeschooling families.

That’s why it’s fallen to YOU! We need you to push back hard and get loud about this terrible bill! Please take a moment to send one of our pre-written emails telling the House to VOTE NO on ANY version of this fake ‘School Choice’ bill!

We’re fighting back, but homeschooling needs every last bit of help — so take action below, and SHARE this email! .

We’re spending big right now running social media ads like these across the state explaining what these bills do, the risks they pose and how to easily contact your legislator and oppose them!

I know for all of our families, budgets are tight right now. But if you can chip in 50, 35 or even $15 to help us get the word out to more homeschoolers, please do!

Every dollar helps keeps homeschooling free in Texas.

For freedom,
