Thanks to your incredible efforts, we’ve successfully stalled Senate Bill 2 (SB2) and House Bill 3 (HB3) in the Texas House – for now! These bills, which threaten to impose unwanted government oversight and entangle homeschoolers in new regulations, were supposed to be heard in the House Public Education Committee at 8:00 am — but they were removed from the calendar!
The legislature has pushed them to a “later date,” giving us a crucial window to keep the pressure on.
This victory didn’t happen by accident. It’s the direct result of the relentless pressure you’ve put on these politicians. Your calls, emails, and voices at the Capitol have made it clear: Texas homeschoolers won’t stand for legislation that jeopardizes our freedom. Politicians are feeling the heat, and they’re realizing that messing with our rights comes with a cost.
While the establishment homeschooling organizations in Texas have endorsed these bills and are doing nothing to stop them, we’re doing the opposite. The Homeschool Freedom Coalition is leading the charge, mobilizing families like yours across the state to oppose SB2 and HB3. We’re not just playing defense — we’re taking the fight to them.
Right now, we’re running targeted ads on Facebook and sending emails statewide to rally even more homeschoolers and expose the risks these bills pose.

These ads are running in very specific swing districts where they’ll make the most difference.
But here’s the deal, we’re not funded by the millionaires who have thrown their weight behind this bill. We’re funded by homeschoolers who refuse to give up their rights just because the Government dangles a few dollars in their face.

1) Send your pre-written email to your state Rep, telling them to vote NO on this bill as it stands. This will take 30 seconds and it makes a BIG impact.
2). Forward this email to your homeschool friends, your co-op, your facebook groups, and urge them to get involved and to send their emails!

To be clear, the Homeschool Freedom Coalition is not opposed to all school choice.
We are all for returning the tax dollars of hardworking families to them so they can homeschool their families more effectively.
We are strong advocates for withdrawing children from the public school system and all for homeschoolers getting back money that is rightfully theirs.
However, this bill is NOT the solution that homeschoolers asked for or needed.
